Now then, Lionsgate has announced their next Lionsgate Limited 4K Steelbook release due on 6/17, which is none other than Christopher McQuarrie’s The Way of the Gun (2000). Look for it to offer Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio, with extras that include a pair of exclusive new featurettes (Intention Is Everything and Trigger Discipline). You’ll also get legacy extras that include audio commentary with McQuarrie and composer Joe Kraemer, an isolated music track with commentary by Kraemer, 6 Cast Interview clips, the Storyboard and Script for a Deleted Scene, the film’s trailer, and a TV spot. You can see the cover above left and you can pre-order it here.
Lionsgate has also set Carl Reiner’s All of Me (1984) as their next Vestron Video Collector’s Series Blu-ray on 6/17. Here’s the pre-order link for that.

In other news this afternoon, the complete second season of Tony Gilroy’s Andor series is now available on Disney+ and it might be the single best piece of Star Wars content produced to date. If you haven’t watched it yet, this series is well worth your time. Quality wise, I would put it right up there with the original Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), and Rogue One (2016). If you’re an OG fan of this franchise, or if you just love great serialized dramatic storyelling, this show is absolutely not to be missed.
Finally today, we need to take a moment to acknowledge the passing of actor Joe Don Baker, of Walking Tall (1973) fame. Fans will also know him from Charley Varrick (1973), Mitchell (1975), The Natural (1984), Fletch (1975), Cape Fear (1991), Mars Attacks! (1996), no less than three James Bond films including The Living Daylights (1987), GoldenEye (1995), and Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), and many more. He appeared in many TV roles as well. Baker was 89. We’ll leave you with a look at a few of the titles mentioned above and more, each with Amazon pre-order links if available...
