As we’ve reported previously, there will be wide release and Steelbook packaging options. Note that the 4K disc includes both the 1987 Theatrical Version and the 2000 Director’s Cut, which is 7 minutes longer, plus you get a pair of featurettes: A Legacy of Inspiration: Remembering Richard Donner and “I’m Too Old for This...”. The 4K discs will also feature HDR10 high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos audio (along with the original 2.0 theatrical mix in DTS-HD MA format). Here’s a look at the cover artwork (click on the image to visit the respective Amazon pre-order pages)...
And Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has just officially set Marc Webb’s live action Snow White (2025) for Digital release on 5/13, with the Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD Steelbook release set to follow on 6/24. The 4K disc will feature Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. Here’s what the Steelbook looks like...

Also today, Kino Lorber Studio Classics has set Cy Endfield’s Sands of the Kalahari (1965) for Blu-ray release on 7/15.
Vinegar Syndrome’s Melusine X label has just revealed that they’re working on a new 4K release of Radley Metzger’s Naked Came the Stranger (1975). They’ve also recently released Metzger’s The Image (1973) and Jonas Middleton’s Through the Looking Glass (1976) in 4K as well.

Severin Films will release Sergio Martino’s Slave of the Cannibal God (1978) in 4K Ultra HD on 6/24, along with Ruggero Deodato’s The Last Cannibal World (1977) the same day.
And A24 will release Aaron Schimberg’s A Different Man on Blu-ray in June (street date TBA). Extras will include audio commentary with Schimberg and actors Sebastian Stan and Adam Pearson, the About Face: Making A Different Man featurette, A.D.M. B.T.S. Super 8 Set Documentation by John Klacsmann, and 6 collectible postcards.
Also, a quick follow up on my comments from yesterday about Universal’s Murder, She Wrote: The Complete Series. I was able to do a little sleuthing, and it does indeed appear that the unlabeled physical media SKU coming on 5/20 is a 62-disc Blu-ray box set. I checked with a few industry sources on the retail side, and that’s what they’ve believe. What’s more, I looked “under the hood” at the code for Universal’s web page, and though it’s not visible other, the listing does indicate Blu-ray. So good news, and hopefully we’ll get official details from the studio soon.
Finally today, a new Blu-ray label called Split-Reel is about to launch. Its first title is coming in June (street date TBA) and will feature 8 rare comedy shorts by the early 20th century slapstick team Pokes & Jabbs, also known as Bobby Burns and Walter Stull. We’ll share more details when they’re available!
That’s all for now. Stay tuned...
